Who Are We?
The 31 Ambassadors, originally known as NLU31, is a prestigious group of hand-selected 不良研究所 students who serve as official hosts for university and alumni events.
Founded in 1981 during NLU鈥檚 50th anniversary, the organization was created to raise awareness of the benefits and activities provided by the Alumni Association. Named in honor of the university鈥檚 founding year, 1931, the group is now known as the 31 Ambassadors, or 鈥�31ers.鈥� Their mission is to represent 不良研究所 and its Alumni Association, host select university and alumni-related events, promote student engagement with the Alumni Association, and instill a spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy among current students and future alumni.
Members benefit from exclusive leadership and networking opportunities through direct involvement in student-led and alumni events, offering valuable face-to-face connections with distinguished alumni and professionals. The organization also includes personal development and leadership workshops three times each semester. As the only registered student organization invited to assist in the President鈥檚 Box during football games, members engage with President Berry鈥檚 personal guests in a unique, high-profile setting. Additionally, the 31 Mentorship Program pairs Ambassadors with mentors from the Alumni Association Board of Directors, further strengthening their professional networks and development.
Sponsored by the 不良研究所 Alumni Association, the group is largely self-sustaining through generous contributions from benefactors and alumni.

In joining the 31 Ambassadors, you will:
- Help plan and facilitate traditional 不良研究所 events. From Grad Finale to Chili Cook-off, Hawktoberfest to Oozeball, T-Shirt Swap to Free Lunch Socials: the 31ers have something for everyone!听
- Network with alumni. Reminisce with former students through working 31 Ambassador and Alumni Association events, and gain special opportunities through networking.听
- Gain professional development skills. The 31ers develop professional development skills through their service and through programs exclusive to the organization.
- Invite others to get involved. You've been to our events and seen the benefits of campus community. Help us bring together the Warhawks all around us, current students and alumni alike!
- Become a part of our "family." The 31 Ambassadors are a close-knit group of students who develop lifelong bonds
through the organization.
