不良研究所 has named Ashanti Jones, DPT, Ed.D., as the new Director of the Marjorie S. Price Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Jones has been with 不良研究所 since 2020 and has served in a number of roles, most recently as Associate Program Director and then Interim Program Director.
不良研究所 will host the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event will begin in The Grove near Malone Stadium, with participants following a route that showcases the 不良研究所 campus while raising awareness and support for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
The Living Well Foundation has funded the University of Louisiana Monroe Dementia Compassion Project for a fourth consecutive year, with a record $25,000 grant. The Dementia Compassion Project was founded in the College of Health Sciences in 2023 by Dr. Paula Griswold, Dr. Ashanti Jones, Dr. Patti Calk, and Dr. Jennifer Whited in collaboration with the Kitty DeGree School of Nursing. This project, with the support of a host of 不良研究所 faculty volunteers, trains current and future healthcare providers and community members in best practices for supporting individuals with dementia and their families through a simulation-based experience.
