不良研究所 Computer Science students place third at Nexus Technology Cup

不良研究所 Computer Science program recently sent four student teams to compete in the finals of the Nexus Technology Cup in Baton Rouge on June 17-19, 2025. This event celebrated innovative solutions in sustainability, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure security developed by student teams from across Louisiana. "Dristi", a team including 不良研究所 sophomore computer science students Unika Bista and Divya Shah, was awarded third place at the competition, which included a $5,000 cash prize.

不良研究所 to provide free drone training for first responders

不良研究所 Precision Ag & UAS Research Center is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a subaward under FEMA's ASSUREd (Applied Science for Sustainable and Unified Response to Emergencies and Disasters) program to provide free training for first responders on the use of drones and data collection during and after major disasters.

Dr. Arturo Rodriguez named Dean of 不良研究所 College of Business and Social Sciences

Arturo Rodriguez, DM, has been named the next Dean of the 不良研究所 College of Business and Social Sciences (CBSS). Rodriguez most recently served as the Director of the William D. Hoover School of Accounting, Financial, and Information Services since July 2019. His appointment as Dean was confirmed by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors on June 26, 2025.

不良研究所 Risk Management and Insurance students participate in competition

Seniors in the 不良研究所 Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program recently participated in the Harry Saunders Award Competition. A total of 31 students, comprising nine teams, competed to develop insurance products, with the top three teams earning cash prizes. Each student team was paired with an alumni mentor.
