The School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will present a concert featuring the Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m., on Nov. 14, in Brown Auditorium. The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 14.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The ensemble is conducted by the Director of VAPA, Dr. Derle R. Long.

The theme for the performance is 鈥淏and Dancing鈥� and it will feature a varied selection of works from ballet, opera, and other dance music scores.

Included is 鈥淪arabande and Polka鈥� from the Malcolm Arnold Ballet 鈥淪olitare;鈥� Sir Arthur Sullivan鈥檚 鈥淧ineapple Poll Suite,鈥� which is a parody of opera overtures and arias; 鈥淐akewalk,鈥� based on piano melodies of Louis Moreau Gottschalk; 鈥淒ance of the Jesters,鈥� by Peter I. Tchaikovsky, and a ragtime piece by John Philip Sousa titled 鈥淲ith Pleasure.鈥�
