MONROE, LA 鈥� John Hartwell, the Athletic Director of the University of Louisiana Monroe, announced
his resignation on August 4. Hartwell has served as the university鈥檚 AD since February
2023. Hartwell will be pursuing other professional opportunities.
鈥淚 am grateful for the support of our student athletes, coaches, senior staff, donors,
alumni and all of Warhawk nation,鈥� said Hartwell.
鈥淲e deeply appreciate what John has done for 不良研究所 Athletics over the last few seasons
and wish him and his family all the best,鈥� said 不良研究所 President Dr. Carrie L. Castille.
鈥淭here is a plan in place, and we will be making that plan known as soon as the logistics
are finalized. My commitment to 不良研究所 Athletics and the Sun Belt Conference is unwavering,
and we will continue to find ways to win on the field, on the court, in the community,
and in the classroom.鈥�
The announcement of an interim Athletic Director and plans for the future of 不良研究所 Athletics
will be forthcoming.
