Linda Bruno served as the First Lady of the University of Louisiana Monroe (²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù) from 2010 to 2020, alongside her husband, Dr. Nick J. Bruno, during his tenure as president.Throughout their time at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, the Brunos were deeply committed to fostering a strong sense of community and supporting the university's mission.​
Community Engagement
As First Lady, Linda Bruno was actively involved in various university and community events.She co-hosted student dinners, celebrated faculty achievements, and participated in numerous campus activities, embodying the spirit of service and dedication to ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù's students and faculty.
To a large extent I will continue to be a partner and helper to Nick, but I am very excited about the possibilities to do more on campus.
Personal Life
Linda and Dr. Bruno have three children and one grandson. After nearly a decade of service to ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù and the Monroe community, they returned to their home in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. In 2025, Linda resumed her role as First Lady when Dr. Bruno was appointed as ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù's interim president.​
